This shamelessly romantic and nostalgic piece was always intended to be part of a Fruit Salad Suite but the other berry pieces are still ripening!

It is intended to be very lyrical, slightly quirky and rather old-fashioned ‘English’ sounding.

As such it can be played many different ways as it is rhythmically quite simple which invites the melody to be interpreted with great flexibility, a personal touch and maybe even a humorous twist..?

Play the piece how it feels right to you and enjoy it’s gentle eccentricity!
