Inspiring start to 2012

Mixing two releases for ECM at Rainbow Studios in Oslo with Manfred Eicher and Jan Eric Kongshaug made for a very inspiring start to 2012. And it was a surprise when John Surman popped his head round the door!

I'm looking forward to meeting with composer Gary Carpenter next month. He is writing a tenor saxophone concerto for me to perform in 2014 with the Liverpool philharmonic orchestra.
